1. Hubby lost his job last week. Kinda a long story, but he went in last Tuesday to work, the big guys where there, they were doing some "re-structuring" and basically Hubby made too much $$ so they let him go. It was a really great job (great $$ and really close to home), but honestly I don't want him to work for a company that doesn't value their employees and thinks they are disposable. He worked 50+ hours a week, went in on his days off, even would work "off the clock" just to get work done. My feelings are... it's their loss. Fortunately, he was very persistent about applying for jobs immediately and after only a couple of days had managed to line up a couple of interviews, all the while helping out our neighbor for a bit of extra cash :-) He actually accepted a job on Friday and starts on Wednesday :-D So happy, and it's such a relief!
2. I FINALLY started my Project Life album. I actually "technically" started back on July 1st, but had not started putting the physical pages together until last weekend. Got the cover, and weeks 1 and 2 done. Hoping I can get thru the next 4 weeks pretty quickly so I can be all caught up :-)
3. I've been busy, especially with Hubby's recent unemployment, trying to get my CTMH business off the ground. I have a bit of help from Corporate, as the Campaign that is running from August 15th - September 30th is a MUST HAVE! I LOVE this stamp set! I've actually used it in the couple of Project Life pages I've done, and I'm chomping at the bit to use them in the next few pages!

You can get this amazing stamp set for only $5 with a $35 purchase! How cool is that!?!?! It's a double-set too, so you're getting two complete sets for just $5!

4. I recently had my first "Maternity" photo shoot with one of my sister's friends who is due in October. It was sooooo much fun, but a LOT of work to do after the fact. Dwindling down the 175+ photos I took, weeding out the ones that aren't good, then editing the ones that are. LOTS of work! Adding to the workload is getting enough of them done for her by this weekend so she can display them at her baby shower.... YIKES! Fortunately it's looking to be a slow week during the evenings, so I should be able to crank out good chunk of them over the next few days.
5. PROJECTS. PROJECTS. PROJECTS! I've been one busy little gal, and I've got projects galore to share. They're all photographed (Yea!) and I'll be sharing them throughout the week this week :-)
I'm exhausted and need to get to bed early tonight, so stay tuned this week for mega project overload :-) G'Nite scrappy-land!
Well Jessica, praise God that he was able to get another job so fast. And your right that old company did not deserve to have him. They will be the one wishing they hadn't screwed up. Nothing but the best is to come. By the way love you project life. The little monster frame is so cute. Cant wait to see more. AJ-
ReplyDeleteHi Jess, so glad everything is working out for you and congrats to hubby on the new job. The other company definitely don't deserve to have him if they are willing to let him go at the drop of a hat! Good luck for him tomorrow in his new job. Sounds as if you are extremely busy with the photography side :-) Can't wait to see what you have been up to. Hugs Karon
