A New Addition

Well, we've got a new addition to the family here at Chez Rosie.  No... it's not a two-legged or four-legged family member.  It's (yet) another new machine in the scrap room.

Isn't she pretty?!?!?!?!  I am so happy about this new addition, but I'm a little sad about the loss... I had to put my trusty Cuttlebug up for adoption.  Fortunately, I found her a REALLY great, loving home, and I'm sure she's going to be happy there as her new "mommy" is so excited to have her!

I just couldn't justify it in my head to have two machines that do practically the same thing.  I decided to upgrade because there are a few of the Sizzix Bigz dies (both Tim Holtz and Sizzix brand) that I really wanted to use, but trying to do it on my CB made me nervous.  I know there are a LOT of people out there that use their CB's on stuff like that all the time with no problems, but I just found it a bit awkward to try and fit the huge sandwich of stuff thru that little machine. :-/

I've got a bunch of projects lined up for this new gal, along with her "accessories" (TH's Tattered Florals & Tattered Leaves, as well as Sizzix's Snowflake) that I can't wait to start!  I'm working on an autumn project as a housewarming gift for my sister and her hubby who just bought their first house together and are moving in at the end of the month.  I've got videos going documenting all the different steps, so hopefully I'll be able to get those up soon.

Well, I'm off to go play for a bit.  I'm taking advantage of the fact that Hubby is preoccupied with his XBox tonight and is allowing me some real time to "play"... ahem.. I mean "work."  Hope everyone had a wonderful Friday, and a great weekend to come :-)
