More Coloring Fun

See... I told you I had been crafting!  I've been meaning to post these, but life kinda got in the way.  Thankfully I remembered to take pictures before they got sent out :-)

I'm IN. LOVE. with coloring with colored pencils and using Gamsol to blend them together.  It's so much fun, and actually very relaxing!!  I'm now drooling over PrismaColor pencils... but a little to rich for my budget right now.  Maybe I can get Santa to bring them for Christmas :-D

Anywho, unfortunately my grandma ended up in the hospital having some emergency surgery a few weeks back, and I really wanted to send her a card.  I found this ADOR-A-BLE digi stamp from C.C. Designs over at AllThatScraps.com.  I pulled out my old Lucy CTMH Workshop On The Go (retired) and started creating.

I actually imported the jpg into my Silhouette software and traced the image.  I printed them as "Fill Page" to get a bunch of them cut at once.  I colored in the first one and then cut them out (the un-colored ones are tucked away for down the road).  I did add some Diamond Stickles to her wings, but it's not showing up in the picture.  I was really pleased how it came out!  I know she loved it too!

Recipe:
  • Card Base: 5" x 7" - White Cardstock inked with Cotton Candy CTMH Ink (Z2193)
  • Card Layers: CTMH Cotton Candy (X5760), CTMH Lucy Paper Pack (retired), CTMH Creme Brulee (X5754), CTMH Grey Flannel (retired)
  • Card Inks: CTMH Cotton Candy (Z2193), CTMH Creme Brulee (Z2167), CTMH Grey Flannel (retired)
  • Stamp Set: CTMH For Every Occasion (D1187)
  • Digi Stamp: Nurse Nora from C.C. Designs
  • Embellishments: Ribbon & brads from stash
While surfing the web for tutorials, I stumbled upon a really cute digi stamp (and for the life of me, I can't remember where I found it).  I just had to try it!  I did the same thing as the Nurse Nora stamp and imported it into my Silhouette software, printed as "Fill Page," and then cut them out.

I didn't know what I was going to do with it, but figured it wouldn't hurt to make a card for my stash.  I actually didn't put any sentiments in it just because I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with it just yet.

Recipe:

  • Card Base: White Cardstock - 4.25" x 5.5"
  • Silhouette Cut: Card Base #7
  • Patterned Paper: Colorbok Wisper paper pack
  • Digi Stamp: Unknown (I should have written down the site!)

One last semi-colored card I did was for one of my best girlfriends.   I've been going thru a lot lately in my home-life and she has been there for me like you wouldn't believe.  I've had this stamp set in my stash for forever, and I have been waiting for a change to use it.  Unfortunately, it's another one where I don't have the package for it, so I have NO CLUE what set this is :-(

I completely forgot that I don't have any 5.5" x 5.5" envelopes, so I had to mail it in a regular half-fold card envelope.  Fortunately, it made it all in once piece :-) She was so excited when she got it, and I think she really loved it!

So, now I'm about half-way caught up with posting my projects.  Hopefully I can get them photographed and posted this week :-)

Hope everyone is having a great day!!

    1. Thanks Karon! I LOVE my Cameo!!! Don't get me wrong, I still love my two Cricuts, but the Cameo is a nice addition to the family. So much versatility it's crazy! I go to the Cricuts first, but if I can't find what I want, I turn to the Cameo. It would defiantly make a nice addition to your crafting family!
