My In-Laws are coming today to visit Hubby for a belated birthday celebration, and since we may not see them for a while, I thought I'd give them their anniversary present a little early (it's not until Aug 10th). It's their 10th Wedding Anniversary, so I wanted to do something special and memorable. Hubby's step-dad (my FIL) is a HUGE country boy and they live south of us in a small little town. Thought it only be fitting to make them something county-style.
I saw the candle sticks and mason jars at my local Pat Catan's Craft store yesterday when we were out shopping and just HAD to try them! Lol. The only thing that would make this gift even better would be a bottle of Boone's Farm Wine, but unfortunately everyone around here that would sell it doesn't have a Sunday liquor license :-( Ah well, I'm sure they're going to love it just the same.
I used two mason jars, two candle holders, some E6000 adhesive, some navy ribbon, and my Silhouette Cameo to do the tags. I found the little poem online (sorry.. can't remember where) and used the Designer Studio software to do a print and cut. They came out so stinkin cute!!! I'm sure they're going to love them, as well as the rest of the family. I have a feeling that I'm going to end up making a bunch of these as gifts :-)
Hope everyone is having a great Sunday!
