Since I've been working on a HUGE project over the past few days and don't really have anything truly new to share, I thought I'd pull some older projects out of "the vault" to post. I've updated my galleries (tabs up top) with all the projects, but I'm going to post them on here too :-)

Glass Etching - "Scrap $$" Jar |
Picked up this vintage-looking jar at my local Hobby Lobby, along with some Armor Etch creme and some vinyl, and decided to make myself a little jar to hold all the $$ I've made from my cards. I apologize for the crummy picture, but it's REALLY hard to take a decent picture of the detail of the etching. I believe the "coupon" looking outline was from Accent Essentials and the font is Alphalicious. Left the etching creme on for about 30 minutes or so before washing off. Came out great! Just need to do more cards to keep filling it up :-)

Altered Journal - Project Notebook |
I decided I needed a notebook to start writing down the details of all the projects I've done so in the event I want to go back and make them again, I don't have to start from scratch. So far, it's been sitting on my desk unused, but I'm determined to change that :-) I used a cheap composition book I had lying around, some cardstock from my stash, and a couple of Cricut cuts to make this. Unfortunately, I didn't write down the details, but I'm fairly certain I used the Lacy Labels Cricut Lite cartridge for the name tag, and CTMH Art Philosophy (
Z1686) for the letters and the scrolls.
Last up is a notecard set I made for my sisters' MIL for her birthday a few weeks back. I originally intended on making this a tutorial (I still might though), but never got around to actually typing it all up. I made the box out of cardstock from my stash, and all the cards are A2 sized plain white cards. The decorative paper is from the DCWV Glitter Matstack. I used the CTMH Art Philosophy (
Z1686) cartridge for the flower and tag cuts, and the CTMH Just For You (
B1398) set for the flowers and sentiment stamps. I LOVE this set!! It make such cute flowers that are just perfect for notecards. I did a total of 6 cards and the box, and she LOVED them!! She said "they are too pretty to give away." Ha ha ha.
I think that's about it for now, but I'm sure as I go thru pictures on my computer I'll find more to share! I'm off to blow some of Hubby's hard-earned paycheck at Michaels. Who knows, maybe there is a haul video in my future :-)
OMGeeee! There's my stamp set! I love it, it's just soo cute! Can't wait to see what you get from Michaels! I'll have a haul video soon too!
ReplyDeleteBTW, I sent you a pm on the CMB and I keep sending it to myself!! Can you let me know if you got it?
I love your blog REDO to!! :O)
Love your note card set!!
ReplyDeleteLove it Rosie - just and idea for you. When you want to display etching try and put a colored piece of card behind the etching it may stand out a little more, try different colors to see which works best:-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the idea!! I honestly never thought of that :-/ Unfortunately I try and take pictures in the evenings and without having overhead lighting in our house, it makes it a little difficult. Will have to try that next time!!!
