Well, it's finally here.... my VERY FIRST blog hop! I'm so excited and honored to have been asked by my good friend Pink E to be a part of her first blog hop. We've got a great lineup of very talented crafters for this Blog Hop, and I'm so excited to see what everyone has created!
First off, I'd like to share a couple of Mother's Day cards I made for my extended family in Pennsylvania. It makes me sad that Hubby and I won't be able to make it out there to see everyone, but with him working on Saturday and my niece's 5th birthday party Saturday afternoon, it just wasn't in the cards. I posted their gifts yesterday that I sent, but here are the cards that went along with them. I apologize for missing some of the important details, but I was in such a time crunch to get these done, I completely winged it as I went and didn't write much down :-(

OMG!Love all your cards!Your Sister's MIL will love the card! The color combo and embossing gives it that extra special touch..TFS!My MOM is the BEST MOM in the world because you see when me and my sisters were being raised we did not have(at that time)a computer, atari(did not know what was it or how to play with it..LOL),we shared each others clothes, rarely we would go out to eat because my mom was the only bread winner ( She was the Mom and Dad...No complaints there). When we did she would take us to eat at Burger King(the entire neighborhood know that we were going to B.K....LOL.That would be a Big thing for us.But my sisters and I,now young ladies...we are there for one another,we are responsible,humile,1st ones there when someone needs our help and we pray more than ever.So My MOM gaves us so much more.......

ReplyDeleteReally nice cards, Love the purple that just really pops out to me.
ReplyDeleteI love your card! I'm a big fan of distressing. I think it adds a nice touch. I also think I participated in the same twine share that you did because your twine "bundle" looked eerily familiar! :D Great job!! :)
ReplyDeleteI like how you make the inside of your card cordinate. That makes it so much nicer. Beautiful card! Unfortunately, my mother and I don't have a healthy relationship. But one thing I have learned from that is how to have a better relationship with my own children. Thanks for the chance at the blog candy! I am a NEW follower.

I'm a little confused., so I'm commenting on both posts just to make sure I get the right one!
ReplyDeleteI lost my mom 12 years ago, so Mother's Day is still pretty rough, even after all these years. I remember her high-pitched laugh, and how if would shake her whole body down to her core. Her sense of humor made her the best mom ever...and it was a beautiful laugh.
