Now, it's a really good thing I wasn't drinking anything at the time when my girlfriend told me about the theme of the party because it would have come shooting out of my nose I started laughing so hard. This year, the two older kids got to pick what kind of theme they wanted for their parties. My girlfriend asked her daughter "Since this is such a 'Big Girl' birthday, what kind of theme do you want?" After some pondering, the cutie responded "Well, we'll just have to have them over for tea, won't we?" LOL Now I know it's one of those "ya had to be there" moments, and without knowing Miss L's personality, it's hard to understand why it was so funny. She's 5 going-on 60! She literally speaks like that of an adult and it's hilarious!
With the party in less than 2 weeks, I was on a bit of a time crunch to get 20 of them done in time for Mommy to mail them out and for Miss L to be able to pass them out at school. Thankfully I got the Cricut "Love You A Latte" cart a few weeks ago off of eBay and had just the right cut to get them done and in a hurry.
Recipe:
- Paper: DCWV - The Cardstock Stack - Pink, Purple, & White
- Cricut Cut: Teapot from Love You A Latte cut @ 5"
- Embellishments: Ribbon and bling from stash
Mommy came and picked them up tonight and just couldn't believe they were done so fast. What can I say.... I aim to please :-) Now it's off to get some little decorations done and a "craft" for the girls to do. It's going to be so much fun, and I'm actually looking forward to a 5-year old birthday party! There's going to be pink lemonade in teacups, dress up, and a "color your own teapot" craft. She's going to have a blast!
Aww I so love your invites. They are so cute and girly. I can't wait to make my littler girls invites this year. TFS!
ReplyDeleteI also wanted to say thank you for support my blog, becoming a follower and supporting "Heaven's Sweet Babies" blog hop.

Those are so cute! Really gets me to missing not having a girl. All my nieces are grown and I don't have any little grandbabies or grandnieces yet. I am hoping to have some more girls in my family to be able to justify getting some of the more "girly" carts.
ReplyDeleteGreat job!
